It is through his interactions with the spiritual realm that the Shaman is capable of bringing these messages to the physical plane of existence for us, as well as teaching us to discover the source within ourselves. This week's Rune Readings
|
The reading of the Nordic "Elder Futhark" runes of early Scandinavia requires an intuitive ability unlike "fortune telling". The runes display a connection from the deity by reminding us of our past lessons, as well as those influences of our present. This information is then used to make informed decisions about moving into our future. Rune Reading for Freyja's Day - 30 May 2025
|
|
|
|
To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Inguz, the rune of wholeness. Today Inguz arrives in our past to remind us of the lessons that we have been given through the many experiences that we have had. Its revelation here is that although we may have spent much time in contemplation regarding the lessons that we should have received from these past engagements, these lessons will not be fully revealed to us until we are ready to use the information provided. We must seek patience. Our incurred wisdom will appear in our decisions when the tests arrive for them. Our present influence is that of Tiwaz, the rune of honor and truth, although today it brings us cautions. By receiving these cautions in our present, this would indicate that we are currently experiencing some level of fear. These cautions indicate that we fear defeat, imbalance, injustice, or mental paralysis due to this sense of fear within us. Our present moment gives us an opportunity to understand this, and make a conscious decision to redirect ourselves to a different path, one of joy, comfort, and harmony. This choice is ours. To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Ehwaz, the rune of trust, however today, it brings cautions. Ehwaz reveals our worries about lost relationships, or enemies, yet there may be no evidence to support this energy passage. Others may be reflecting this energy upon you, as they may be struggling with the energy of self-worth. You must embrace the trust in yourself that the decisions you need to make will have the answers revealed to you at the proper time. Be patient, for the universe will not inflict upon us a need for something we have yet to learn. To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune, Kenaz, one of the runes of humility. Many times, our imagination may over-inflate our ego for the victories accomplished in our everyday living, however, we must remember that it is just as simplistic to remove those things as it was to gain them. Exercise humility and graciousness for those lessons that the universe has given us, for they truly are a gift. Stay true to the intrinsic values you carry, for they represent not only you, but your ancestors as well.

Rune Reading for Thor's Day - 29 May 2025
|
|
|
|
To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Uruz, and today it offers us cautions about carrying energy from our past. We are carrying many different energies of the past, whether those be previous life experiences, or generational influences that are unhealthy. We must learn to separate the lessons from the emotions of our past memories, leaving the influences of those events behind and choose a new path forward. Our present influence is that of Othala, the rune of ancestral energies. Our present is beginning to look outside of the paradigm we have grown up with, we are beginning to see a bigger picture. In some cases, we find that the enormity of the spiritual realm and ancestral connections can be overwhelming to the physical mind. Remember there are many around us who have already made connections with their ancestors, do not concern ourselves, begin to learn in earnest, that which can bring you peace of mind, your family. To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Sowilo, the rune of wholeness. Othala reveals that we are now beginning to seek a larger view of our existence, and understanding our ancestral connections. Sowilo indicates the arrival of our two parts, the spiritual and the physical. Drawn together to form the entirety of our existence. This joining of the parts should offer you the faith in the outcome, and certainly a new life's purpose. Sowilo in our future indicates that the part we have chosen to our ancestors will bring us to wholeness. To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune, Mannaz, one of the runes of perfected intellect. As you have begun a journey of discovering your ancestry, which will lead you to discovering your spiritual part, we must retain the intellect given by our ancestors as to the ways for a better life. The interconnectivity that you are obtaining as you join your two sides will reveal much that you have wanted to know, to pay attention and make notes, for the intellect may be overwhelming to our physical minds.

Rune Reading for Woden's Day - 28 May 2025
|
|
|
|
To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the Odinn's rune, which requires additional prayers to Odinn. Today, the spirits indicate that the past you have experienced can be whatever you want it to be. Whether you choose to review it in a negative fashion and accumulate the losses or failures, or we alter our perspective and review our past as necessary steps to obtain our present. The perspective change, and lessons retained, are completely up to us. Our present influence is that of Algiz, the rune of listening. Algiz indicates that are present is about learning to listen with our heart and not our ears. Remembering that our ancestors will interact with us through the use of our heart and emotional energies, we must put down our demands for directions, and feel our way to our destiny. While there are many steps to physical form listening, there are also understandings we must have to effectively listen to the spiritual realm around us throughout our lives. To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Berkano, and today it brings us cautions about our potential future. While Berkano offers us cautions, we must keep in mind that we alone are the authoritive force within our minds as to the perspective we carry forward. While Berkano cautions us about deceit, conspiracy, insecurity, it also ensures that we are aware of these potential influences in our future and alter our trajectory to avoid them. To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune, Kenaz, one of the runes of humility. Within the realm of those things to carry forward, the rune Kenaz reminds us that new information will constantly be arriving through our physical sensory inputs and we must remain open to our ancestry that they may provide for us their experiences that we can incorporate in moving forward. As we remain humble, our emotional connection to these ancestors will continue to become stronger.

Rune Reading for Tyr's Day - 27 May 2025
|
|
|
|
To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Inguz, the rune of wholeness. Today, our past may have included many previous attempts at personal development and bringing together the experiences in an attempt to gain the lessons. The lessons that you have been taught from the experiences in your past will be revealed to you when you are ready to receive them. Everything in our understandings must be processed by the heart and mind at a particular energy cycle. Instead of manifesting stressful energy over it, simply open your heart and mind and the lessons will be revealed to you. Our present influence is that of Jera, the rune of universal cycles. Like breathing, Jera presents a cyclic pattern within our existence. Always on-time for the heart and mind to accept the reality being presented to us in our existence. Jera says that every interaction we have will occur when the cycle is ready for it to be completed. Our expectations will always exceed our realizations as many different energy interactions will need to occur before, during, and after, a particular lesson within this lifetime. We need to focus on allowing this cyclic pattern teach us to be patient for the next breath. To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Mannaz, and today it brings us cautions about our future. Although our future is not carved in stone yet, meaning we can still affect change, we will need to exercise some level of caution as we move forward along our path. In this reversed state it cautions us about arrogance and blindness to the influential energies around us. Maintaining our wall of denial against negative energies in our everyday life is simply the result of distracting ourselves with forms of pleasure. Be happy and the reality will unfold according to the cosmic plan, teaching us what we need to know. To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune, Nauthiz, one of the runes of action. The key to uncovering true happiness is to actively seek it. What we seek, we will find. This should be our mantra and should dominate our interactivity with all the energies around us. As we focus our energies on seeking happiness, peace, and harmony, those things will be drawn to the energy that we are generating. It is this action step that creates the energy necessary to manifest those sought after energies. Stay fully engaged in our search and it will be revealed.

Rune Reading for Mani's Day - 26 May 2025
|
|
|
To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Thurisaz, the rune of enthusiasm. Our past may have been a collection of one experience blending almost seamlessly into the next, like blurs of our life. However, there has been a rhythm to is, a heartbeat that has moved us forward even when not being able to focus on the how, or why. Thurisaz has given us a reason and a method to break down the resistance to our growth and allowed us to arrive at this place in our lives. It has directed us here. Our present influence is that of Gebo, the rune of graciousness. Today, in our present, we need to not only consider the many different materialistic things, as well as people that the universe has led us to cross paths with, but also the fact that we have had the ability and assistance to move across the many paths on our own. Often, we forget that we have accomplished so many little things that we may have forgotten them, however, the universe has aligned each of the paths to cross when each of the parties involved were ready. Taking time to offer our graciousness to the universe for the path we have led through this lifetime. To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Laguz, the rune of evolution. Although within our future Laguz issues us cautions. Laguz is the rune of evolution and associated with the energy of dreaming. Our future cautions identifies us absorbing energy that will not serve us going forward, we should seek to avoid these energies and embrace the power of hope and love instead. We have made so many steps forward, we need to be reminded of how much we have accomplished and understand what it means to have kept our movement forward in our evolution. To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune, Othala, the rune of ancestral power. As we are reminded of that gift that we have been offered of our ancestral connection bringing the power of utopia, and paradise to our psyche, it also offers us freedom of the mind. Reminding us that our life’s purpose is not to appease others, but to understand the emotional energies of loving and hope. Finding our authentic self to reveal a freedom of being who we are at our core. The greatest accomplishment is to come “home” within the mind.
