To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Othala, and it is in an inverted state. The influences of our past indicate that the path that we have been traveling on has brought many experiences that are unwanted, or unnecessary at this point in our evolution. Sometimes we must know that there exists a lifecycle for many of the emotional experiences we have had. Knowing when to learn and forget these lessons is a part of our growth. I feel much negative energy coming from our past rune today, however, I also sense that it can be removed simply by our choice to turn directions.
Our present influence is that of Nauthiz, and of course, Nauthiz is always in an indeterminate state. Nauthiz brings an understanding that, although our previous journey may have been difficult, we must continue our march forward. Sometimes this means we must leave feelings and former acquaintances behind in our quest to move to our next lesson. Keeping in mind that the experiences in our past were life lessons and not life sentences, we learn and move on. Today Nauthiz brings us the knowledge that the recognition of these life lessons allows us to acquire our own development as we continue our quest in evolving our hearts and minds.
To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Gebo and it is always in an indeterminate position. Our future indicates that, although we have been burned in the past, our future includes the connection to the deities to acquire vision from their perspective. As we sacrifice ourselves through a surrendering of emotional states, we begin a journey of magical exchanges with the deities and bathe in their generosity of gifts of sight. These gifts allows us to personally witness the future with the wonder of children. Embrace the journey my friend.
To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune Wunjo in an inverted state. As is revealed, that which we should retain is the distinct memories of the suffering we have experienced, but they should have a shelf-life in their application. If the emotional memories of ill desire, or unwanted thoughts, no longer move us towards our enlightenment, they should be discarded. As the runes dictate to us, these memories may remind us which path to avoid moving forward, remember it will also afford us the opportunity to recognize certain energies to avoid as well.
Today our runes speak of knowing when to learn from, and when to discard emotional memories that our physical mind has retained. By being cognizant of our time to learn from the past, we need to learn those lessons, then discard those memories. The longer memories are retained without any value within the mind, the longer they create negative energies, thereby absorbing more of our mental processing bandwidth.
