To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Hagalaz, the rune of chaos. The influences of our past indicate that the path that we have been traveling on has brought many experiences of chaos or lack of order. It may have seemed as we were unable to get any manner of control, or order. Maybe our lives were moving to fast, one experience after another, many times creating a blur between what happened, and what we remembered happening. Hagalaz represents to “wild” parts of living, embracing many different experiences within a short time.
Our present influence is that of Ansuz, and it is in an upright position. Ansuz brings to the forefront the ideas and foundation we have been searching for, a sense of ordered growth. Ansuz connects that of just action, sound advice, and rationality into our life’s journey. As the literal translation of the word “Woden”, it represents the establishment of balance. We are being connected to that balance that we have sought. Whether by people or by messages, our mind is obtaining the instructions as to establishing order within our thought process.
To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Wunjo and it is in an inverted position. Our future indicates that there will be many influences in our lives in the future that attempt to sway us from our path toward our destiny. Not only learning to establish the control within our thought process, but maintaining it as a matter of second-nature will be critical to our future success. Although an inverted Wunjo may produce some negative connotations within your mind, remember these are the influences that will attempt to change you. Be strong in who you are.
To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune Sowilo in an indeterminate state. As is revealed, that which we should retain is the faith in the outcomes. The memory of our life’s purpose, success, and most importantly, above all else, hope. While our path may travel through many muddy pits along the way, knowing that the end-result is out there waiting for us, will make the trip easier to maintain, but mentally resilient as well. Be confident, for as we may travel through the valley of despair, the mountain range of redemption is will within the horizon.
Today our runes speak of maintaining our life’s path. They call to us the order of the universe, thereby breaking the chaos that may have troubled our existence for some time now. The conscious efforts to “deny” that energy that doesn’t benefit us, or is unwanted, thereby creates a self-confidence that you are indeed the “Mater of your Ship” and completely capable of navigating even the most chaotic of waters.
