As we seek to understand the influences that we have experienced, as well as the experiences we’ve yet to have, we search for an answer as to what force we must keep in reserve to help us on our path toward our destiny. To visualize these influences and counter-energies, we will call upon the layout of the “four winds” that we may learn of our adversaries and allies in our mental battle for safety.

Each morning, I engage in conversation with my gods. During which they offer me wisdom and guidance, and in return I offer them myself that they may do with that which they need to. I have felt the gods manage my experiences throughout the years, and especially over the last several decades, engaging me in a multitude of ways. Today, I offer to you that which was told to me by the gods in this morning’s talks. However, as I offer you the wisdom given to me, I encourage you to seek the answers within yourself, as each of us travels a different path, therefore our perspectives are a little different. 

To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Uruz, the rune of manifesting. Our past is what we rely on to make the decisions as to our future; therefore, it is increasingly important we absorb the lessons contained within our past to move forward along the correct path for us. Our past provides for us the foundation for the understandings that we have accomplished, to provide a pragmatic knowledge that will carry us through.

Our present influence is that of Laguz, and today, in our present, if offers us cautions. While our past may have been consumed with lessons in which the lesson seemed to be an understanding of fear, the true lesson here is that we alone carry the authority in which to dictate how we feel, and what we think. We are the sole beneficiaries to those lessons of the past, and can apply them where we see they fit.

To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Inguz, the rune of wholeness. The rune for our future reveals that our chosen trajectory leads to a period of wholeness, and that period will allow us the opportunity to grow spiritually. However, ensuring that we have established our own version of order within the chaos of our past lessons to ensure this wholeness, we must take time to rest our mind and body. Time to heal the wounds.

To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune, Sowilo. Sowilo verifies that the wholeness of the self, both spiritual and physical, will need to be held on to tightly throughout each step of our existence. New experiences will bring new lessons, and we may feel pulled apart sometimes, however, retaining the integrity of what we’ve accomplished so far will become more critical as we move forward in our lives.

How can we use this today?
