Rune Reading for Tyr’s Day – 27 May 2025
As we seek to understand the influences that we have experienced, as well as the experiences we’ve yet to have, we search for an answer as to what force we must keep in reserve to help us on our path toward our destiny. To visualize these influences and counter-energies, we will call upon the layout of the “four winds” that we may learn of our adversaries and allies in our mental battle for safety.

Inguz- “It could mean time for oneself, expectation, internal growth, gestation, or resting.” Present Influences (lower center)
Jera- “It could mean timing, proper, peace, plenty, and reward for positive action.” Future Influences (to the left)
Mannaz (Inverted) – “It could mean intellectual arrogance, elitism, bigotry, collective suicide, self-delusion, blindness, mortality, and depression.” Bedrock (things to remain) (to the right)
Nauthiz – “It could mean achievement through effort, personal development and life lessons, need-fire or self-reliance, innovation, recognition of your ultimate truth, or resistance.” |

Dagen’s Indsigt
Each morning, I engage in conversation with my gods. During which they offer me wisdom and guidance, and in return I offer them myself that they may do with that which they need to. I have felt the gods manage my experiences throughout the years, and especially over the last several decades, engaging me in a multitude of ways. Today, I offer to you that which was told to me by the gods in this morning’s talks. However, as I offer you the wisdom given to me, I encourage you to seek the answers within yourself, as each of us travels a different path, therefore our perspectives are a little different.
To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Inguz, the rune of wholeness. Today, our past may have included many previous attempts at personal development and bringing together the experiences in an attempt to gain the lessons. The lessons that you have been taught from the experiences in your past will be revealed to you when you are ready to receive them. Everything in our understandings must be processed by the heart and mind at a particular energy cycle. Instead of manifesting stressful energy over it, simply open your heart and mind and the lessons will be revealed to you.
Our present influence is that of Jera, the rune of universal cycles. Like breathing, Jera presents a cyclic pattern within our existence. Always on-time for the heart and mind to accept the reality being presented to us in our existence. Jera says that every interaction we have will occur when the cycle is ready for it to be completed. Our expectations will always exceed our realizations as many different energy interactions will need to occur before, during, and after, a particular lesson within this lifetime. We need to focus on allowing this cyclic pattern teach us to be patient for the next breath.
To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Mannaz, and today it brings us cautions about our future. Although our future is not carved in stone yet, meaning we can still affect change, we will need to exercise some level of caution as we move forward along our path. In this reversed state it cautions us about arrogance and blindness to the influential energies around us. Maintaining our wall of denial against negative energies in our everyday life is simply the result of distracting ourselves with forms of pleasure. Be happy and the reality will unfold according to the cosmic plan, teaching us what we need to know.
To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune, Nauthiz, one of the runes of action. The key to uncovering true happiness is to actively seek it. What we seek, we will find. This should be our mantra and should dominate our interactivity with all the energies around us. As we focus our energies on seeking happiness, peace, and harmony, those things will be drawn to the energy that we are generating. It is this action step that creates the energy necessary to manifest those sought after energies. Stay fully engaged in our search and it will be revealed.

Today the runes remind us that we all play a very active part in the discovery or revelation of our spiritual path and better mental health. By being willing to open our hearts to the spiritual realm and mindfully engaging that realm, we can offer many mental health benefits to our physical form.
