Rune Reading for Woden’s Day – 4 June 2025
As we seek to understand the influences that we have experienced, as well as the experiences we’ve yet to have, we search for an answer as to what force we must keep in reserve to help us on our path toward our destiny. To visualize these influences and counter-energies, we will call upon the layout of the “four winds” that we may learn of our adversaries and allies in our mental battle for safety.

Dagen’s Indsigt
Each morning, I engage in conversation with my gods. During which they offer me wisdom and guidance, and in return I offer them myself that they may do with that which they need to. I have felt the gods manage my experiences throughout the years, and especially over the last several decades, engaging me in a multitude of ways. Today, I offer to you that which was told to me by the gods in this morning’s talks. However, as I offer you the wisdom given to me, I encourage you to seek the answers within yourself, as each of us travels a different path, therefore our perspectives are a little different.
To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Dagaz, the rune of the enlightenment. Dagaz represents the paradigm shift within our perspective of the experiences we have had in the past. While it is easy to identify perceived failures within our past, the value to our forward trajectory is nil. Learning the lessons of emotional interaction with the self, and with others, is a very powerful part of our physical existence and needs to be embraced. Creating a positive memory from the past experiences is the best way to move ourself forward in our evolution.
Our present influence reveals Odinn’s Rune. Odinn’s Rune requires additional communication through prayer or channeling the god’s desires for us to know. Today Odinn has enlightened me to understanding that I alone, control the way in which I look at the reality unfolding around me. By determining my desired mindset, I can direct the generated energy of the emotional process within me to alter the outcome to my will. Odinn reminds me that by remembering my intrinsic values (or virtues) I can define the interpretation my mind makes of the experiences I have.
To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Perthro. In today’s reading Perthro indicates a prophecy is being played out here in our physical existence. The reminder we are given about the prophecy here is that there is nothing we can do to alter the completion of the prophecy, for even if we do something out-of-character, the prophecies have already foretold of this state. It is better for us to simply understand fully the path that the prophecy sets, and move in that direction, for like many other things in our lives, prophecies are milestones along our journey through existence.
To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune, Fehu, the rune of new beginnings. Fehu, being the first rune of the alphabet, reveals the energy of abundance. We should maintain the freedom within the mind to make choices between the paths of our lifetimes based on what experiences we have. Being willing and able to accept the challenges of path changes throughout our lives should be an elemental force in our existence. We have the control of our perspective and should manipulate it as we need to finding peace along the way.

How can we use this today?
In today’s runes we should take away the understanding that no one else can make us feel any way we don’t want to. By consciously taking control of our emotional state, we can dictate our perspective of the world around us.
