Spiritual Guidance & Circles

Non-clinical spiritual and cultural support for people finding their way through change, disconnection, or return to ancestry.

Alaska Úlfhéðnar offers one-to-one guidance and small-group circles as calm, consent-first spaces to reflect, grieve, learn, and reconnect with your own ancestral path. What we offer is spiritual and cultural support, not medical or mental-health care, and we encourage people in crisis to contact 911 or 988.

Who this is for

We welcome people from many lineages and walks of life, including:

  • Those seeking to reconnect with their own ancestry, culture, or sense of place.
  • People struggling to make sense of the world—disillusioned with common paths, or finding their footing again after major life changes.
  • Elders, youth, families, and culture-bearers looking for a safe, non-clinical space to reflect and share.
  • Community members and partners who value dignity, reciprocity, and Indigenous sovereignty and want to walk together in that spirit.

What Guidance & Circles Are Like

1:1 Guidance:
In one-to-one guidance, we sit together to listen, reflect, and explore where you are in your story. We may work with ancestral language, simple practices, or symbols from your own background, but always at your pace and with your consent.

Circles:
In circles, a small group gathers for shared reflection, story, and quiet practices. Circles are guided, lightly structured spaces—no one is forced to share, and simply listening is welcome.

You don’t have to “know the lore” or have everything figured out. You just need to be willing to show up as you are.

How It Works

  • Non-clinical: Guidance and circles offer spiritual and cultural support, not medical or mental-health care. In a crisis, call 911 or 988.
  • Consent-first: You choose what you share, what you don’t, and the pace we move at. You can step back or pause at any time.
  • Trauma-aware: We create steady, low-pressure spaces that respect boundaries, lived experience, and personal history.
  • Culturally respectful: A deep appreciation for our own ancestry means treating all cultures with dignity, avoiding appropriation, and honoring Indigenous sovereignty and local protocols.
  • Accessible: Sessions aim for clarity, plain language, and practical availability. Sliding-scale support is offered when possible.

Request Guidance or Join a Circle

If you feel called to this work, you can reach out for one-to-one guidance or to ask about joining a circle. We’ll reply with available times, options, and any next steps.
Simple instructions:

When you contact us, you’re welcome (but not required) to share:

  • Whether you’re seeking 1:1 guidance or a circle
  • A few words about what you’re walking through
  • Any accessibility needs or cultural boundaries we should know
