Rune Reading for the week of 14 July 2025
As we seek to understand the influences that we have experienced, as well as the experiences we’ve yet to have, we search for an answer as to what force we must keep in reserve to help us on our path toward our destiny. To visualize these influences and counter-energies, we will call upon the layout of the “four winds” that we may learn of our adversaries and allies in our mental battle for safety.

Algiz- “Its psychological meaning is a state of listening, higher self, and divinity. Its energy is Valkyries, the divine plan, protective teaching force. If Algiz appears in divinations, it could mean protection, higher life, awakenings, or connection to the gods.

Othala – “Its psychological meaning is ancestral spiritual power. Its energy is a utopia, paradise, the gift of Ing, heaven on earth, and inheritance. In divination, it means productive interaction, freedom, group order, group prosperity, or home.

Thurisaz (Inverted) – “Psychologically it represents male sexual prowess, struggles against unconsciousness, and enthusiasm. Its energy is destructive storms, breaker of resistance, active defensive force, chaos, self-empowerment, and enthusiasm. When Thurisaz appears in a divination reading, it means constructive conflict, regenerative catalyst, vital eroticism, directed forced, or reactive force. When it appears reversed, it means strife, annoyance, explosive violence, disease, dullness, betrayal, compulsion, defenselessness, or danger

Each morning, I engage in conversation with my gods. During which they offer me wisdom and guidance, and in return I offer them myself that they may do with that which they need to. I have felt the gods manage my experiences throughout the years, and especially over the last several decades, engaging me in a multitude of ways. Today, I offer to you that which was told to me by the gods in this morning’s talks. However, as I offer you the wisdom given to me, I encourage you to seek the answers within yourself, as each of us travels a different path, therefore our perspectives are a little different.
To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Algiz, the rune of the listening. Our past reveals that although listening to the modern day sounds may seem unproductive, they can connect us to the sounds of our ancestry, and our past. Remembering that listening is an entire process, and not just being quiet what another speaks. It includes the mental focus of a conversation, and the intrinsic reflection of what is being said and what emotions are associated with the communications. Being able to listen to our ancestors is a powerful way forward.
Our present influence reveals Othala, the rune of ancestral spiritual power. Our present rune Indicates that we have obtained an intrinsic value in associating with our ancestors, regardless of the underlying reasons, the opening of this door indicates that our heart and mind are ready for the next stage in our evolution. Connecting ourselves to our ancestral line does so much more than just give us the necessary medical information we may be needing to obtain, but it connects us to a history of emotional journeys that has led humankind to you, to this moment in time. Embrace this energy, use it to expand your consciousness that you may come to know the remainder of this existence.
To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn Thurisaz, and today it provides us with cautions about our future. Thurisaz is the rune of enthusiasm, however in today’s reading it issues us caustions about our future that we may willing and able to keep our “blinders” off as we learn more about our spiritual existence. Although inverted typically indicates many different negatives, today we receive a warning as to not succumb to these emotional states. Temptation will surround us as we travel into our future, however, we must never lose sight of our authority to control our thoughts and our feelings. We alone are the captain of our ship, and we maintain all the authority to change as we see fit, but only when we are ready.
To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune, Uruz, the rune of manifesting. As we consider our trajectory, we must retain the understanding that we are the only authority within our own mind, and have every potential to change when we desire to. Today we must remember that a large portion of moving forward is our consistency and strength, but that luck holds a place in our lives as well. Just as important as luck is, we must recall that we can make our own luck by “stacking the deck” in our favor. By thinking about those things to come, we can establish a path that can only lead to continued success.

How can we utilize this revelation this week?
This week we have some interesting energy swirling around us. The week will start with the journey of understanding the lessons from last week, by processing and contemplating them deeply. For it is only then that we can draw the intellect and knowledge from the lessons survived. We’ll move into a period of embracing our ancestors, which leads to a cyclic energy interchange between those ancestors and ourselves, thereby assisting in our evolution. Later in the week we’ll struggle with becoming arrogant in the lessons we’ve received, potentially creating rules and paths for others that are not where they are going. We are in a constant state of learning and growing; we must remember that everything around us is doing the same.
