As we seek to understand the influences that we have experienced, as well as the experiences we’ve yet to have, we search for an answer as to what force we must keep in reserve to help us on our path toward our destiny. To visualize these influences and counter-energies, we will call upon the layout of the “four winds” that we may learn of our adversaries and allies in our mental battle for safety.

Each morning, I engage in conversation with my gods. During which they offer me wisdom and guidance, and in return I offer them myself that they may do with that which they need to. I have felt the gods manage my experiences throughout the years, and especially over the last several decades, engaging me in a multitude of ways. Today, I offer to you that which was told to me by the gods in this morning’s talks. However, as I offer you the wisdom given to me, I encourage you to seek the answers within yourself, as each of us travels a different path, therefore our perspectives are a little different. 

To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Laguz, the rune of dreaming. Throughout our past we have seen dreams pass through our periphery that we may not have understood, yet there are still lessons to be learned from them. As today Laguz presents cautions for us to consider when absorbing these lessons of the past. We need to exercise this caution in ensuring that we retain one foot on the ground as we are reaching for the stars, as there are some among us who wish to carry these lessons of our past beyond their functional limits. If the lesson has been learned, move on.

Our present influence reveals Berkano. As we reveal the rune of the present, we are reminded of the birth of the new you. Each experience we absorb into our consciousness alters our trajectory a small amount. These alterations will accumulate up to a large deviation from the path we had originally desired, however, instead of fighting our way back to the original path, we should open our mind to the potential that exists where we are. Take some time to determine who exactly we are, and where we want to go in this life, and focus on enjoying the journey.

To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Mannaz, and today it cautions us of our future.  While the rune typically is of the perfected intelligence, today it warns us of believing that our lessons apply to anyone else, as if setting expectations that everyone travels the same journey. We must be open to transmitting our intellect, however removing any temptation to control or manipulate others to believe exactly as you do will be a critical key to our successful management of our mental health.

Maintaining our understanding that everything happens within our lifetime at the only time that you are capable of experiencing it if a critical understanding to managing the threats to our mental health. While we may experience many different variants of a particular event, the universe will only provide those experiences we are capable of dealing with, even if they may seem very difficult, you are completely capable.
