As we seek to understand the influences that we have experienced, as well as the experiences we’ve yet to have, we search for an answer as to what force we must keep in reserve to help us on our path toward our destiny. To visualize these influences and counter-energies, we will call upon the layout of the “four winds” that we may learn of our adversaries and allies in our mental battle for safety.

Dagen’s Indsigt

Each morning, I engage in conversation with my gods. During which they offer me wisdom and guidance, and in return I offer them myself that they may do with that which they need to. I have felt the gods manage my experiences throughout the years, and especially over the last several decades, engaging me in a multitude of ways. Today, I offer to you that which was told to me by the gods in this morning’s talks. However, as I offer you the wisdom given to me, I encourage you to seek the answers within yourself, as each of us travels a different path, therefore our perspectives are a little different. 

To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Hagalaz, the rune of chaos. Although our past may have been filled with times of utter chaos, which this rune represents. A state of order cannot exist without its counterpart existing as well, for it is necessary at which to have chaos in our lives to establish order. This necessity of chaos exists that we may find our way to some level of order that works for us.

Our present influence is that of Inguz, the rune of wholeness. Our present is driven by our desire to be whole, connecting our physical to our spiritual parts. However, a necessary part to our wholeness is our desire and ability to ensure we take time for ourselves. The necessity of intrinsic reflection cannot be overstated as our internal growth requires that we associate our experiences to our knowledges.  

To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Ansuz, the rune of listening. The rune offers us the understanding that our future will need to have multiple paths of communication to the deities, not just our thoughts, but our desires as well. Ensuring that we keep the heart and mind in alignment as we move confidently into our future. Inspired by the gods.

To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune, Ehwaz, the rune of trust. While Ehwaz suggests the energy of extending trust to friends and teammates, we must also learn to and practice trusting ourselves. Our feelings, and our inner voice will guide us to identify which path to traverse upon. The key to trust is that it must be intrinsic first, then applied to those who earn it.

How can we use this today?

Our past may have been littered with episodes of chaos, however, today we are solely the authority figure as to moving forward within our mind, and how we feel. We have worked hard to establish some level of order and must now trust ourselves to continue the process of getting better every day. A good method is to listen to those who’s experiences are greater than our own. Then take time to reflect intrinsically as to what it really means to you.
