As we seek to understand the influences that we have experienced, as well as the experiences we’ve yet to have, we search for an answer as to what force we must keep in reserve to help us on our path toward our destiny. To visualize these influences and counter-energies, we will call upon the layout of the “four winds” that we may learn of our adversaries and allies in our mental battle for safety.

Each morning, I engage in conversation with my gods. During which they offer me wisdom and guidance, and in return I offer them myself that they may do with that which they need to. I have felt the gods manage my experiences throughout the years, and especially over the last several decades, engaging me in a multitude of ways. Today, I offer to you that which was told to me by the gods in this morning’s talks. However, as I offer you the wisdom given to me, I encourage you to seek the answers within yourself, as each of us travels a different path, therefore our perspectives are a little different. 

To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Ansuz, the rune of inspiration. Having Ansuz being revealed within our past defines the mental stability we may have obtained by using our experiences as inspiration and guidance to make future path choices. This is the way we should travel, while not look over one’s shoulder, we should remember the lessons of the past, while keeping the reminder that we don’t leave of trail of potential from the rear attacks. By dealing head-on with the negative energies of our past we can look forward knowing that our past has no power over our future. 

Our present influence reveals Gebo, the rune of appreciation. With Gebo appearing in our present, this indicates that we are well on our way to embracing the graciousness toward the universe for the lessons and growth provided through our past experiences. With the inclusion of gratitude in our mindset, a divine connection can be established allowing a magical interchange between the deities and ourselves. By including the graciousness in our prayers and energy, we open a whole new world of possibilities, including one without the guilt or shame from the past.

To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Kenaz, and today it offers us warning as to understanding the journey. Our future will need to be closely monitored to ensure we don’t fall over the other end, for as we learn our path, we may be led to believe it is the absolute right path, when in fact, it is the absolute right path, for us. Each individual has their own journey. Their own decisions, and certainly their own past, that they must come to terms with to fully understand the lessons offered. Be careful that we do not become arrogant, or experience a form of elitism, because while we are the best version of ourselves, we are only the best versions of us, and no one else.

To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune, Isa, the rune of ice. Today, the runes reveal that we should be experiencing a combination of both parts of the selves joining together in unity and harmony. This is a magical state to find ourselves in as it allows us to seek the infinite knowledge from the universe, while experiencing physical events through our sensory input. Let this rune be a reminder that we should constantly focus to remain in balance between the two halves of our existence, for this truly does afford us the best view of the spiritual realm around us.
