The gods have offered us wisdom and guidance through the runes today. They reveal to me today, like its namesake, this rune indicates a spiritual warrior who has retained a sense of honor through the tribulations of our past. The rune Tiwaz symbolizes the ability of decision-making, and sacrifice. These have been the pave stones that we have built the road in which we now walk. Tiwaz reveals that we have used an even-handedness to deal with those in our past who brought inconvenience and troubles, that we have established a loyalty and faith in those who would stand by our side in the heat of battle. It would seem with this rune here in our present, we have ascertained a manner in which to obtain a form of sanctuary, and shelter for our own thought processes. This ability brings with it a sense of pulling back into the secrecy of our minds to prevent the poisoning by those sowing the seeds of hate, thereby liberating us from that mindset. Berkano also brings the understanding of that of life changes, becoming, and birth. Indicating that although this is a needed skill to have, we are still new to it and will need to practice to become a master. Uruz represents that of inspiration, either being it, or having it. We need to keep our wits about our travels, as we may not recognize who’s actions we may influence. It is also the rune of manifestation, which alludes to the action steps necessary for forward progress to the health and well-being of or physical form, and mind. Uruz recognizes the strength, constancy, and tenacity that you are capable of, we simply need to heal the mind to ensure we can recognize and call upon it. Today, Ansuz reminds us that mental strength, and your animating spirit must be retained as you travel toward your destiny.  Being able to rely on your physical mind to interpret the reality we experience brings transformation, synthesis, and divine inspiration to your existence. As we are able to inspire the deities, we find that they can offer a great deal in return, so, we must remember to continue to be ourselves in the face of (sometimes) overwhelming opposition. You are, indeed, more than up to the task. You are great enough!!

It reveals to me today that we have broken down barriers in our past, but, it cautions us that we should ensure the barriers are completely removed, as they can prevent us from returning to our path, if there are portions that remain. Thurisaz cautions us about foolishly misjudging the state of our previous challenges. Ensure we have learned, then released these old memories. Happiness has to begin within, as we must be willing and able to love ourselves before we emit it to the world. Although the rune of ice indicates treachery as we try to walk upon it, we must remember, if we put ice skates on our feet, how much faster we can travel across its surface. While the ice can contort our view of what lies beneath it, sometimes it can magnify it, bringing into sharper focus. Use the reflection upon its surface to reveal the reflection of the beautiful soul you’ve become.  Othala is the rune of the ancestors, and beckons us to connect through the spiritual realm to those ancestors for guidance and wisdom. It produces the energy of paradise, that moment of total relaxation and accomplishment. Time to count our blessings. Ultimately, Othala brings us freedom. Freedom of the mind and of our thought processes. Free from the unwanted influences that attempt to sway our trajectory. It reminds us of dedicating time for our own self-care. This is an important reminder, as too often we succumb to the perceived need to help others, we often forget that we are incapable of helping others if we are completely drained ourselves. Taking time to recharge our batteries, absorb the lessons of our past experiences, and continue our trajectory through this physical life time. Make time each day to gather your thoughts and concentrate on healing yourself that you may be less affected by the influences of the day.

Algiz indicates that we have spent time in our past listening, understanding the higher-self, coming to embrace the divinity (whatever that means for you). Algiz brings forth the emotional memories and lessons of awakening, and connection to your gods. It is the establishment of a divine connection in which to guide us into the future. Inguz reveals that we are becoming whole. We are understanding the balance between the spiritual and physical selves. Inguz reminds us of the benefits of taking time for ourselves, internal gestation, and rest. Balancing our acceptance against that of expectation to reveal our true self. Inguz says that now is a time to review the lessons of our past to ensure we are comfortable with the path forward. Trust is built on the energy generated through the actions of others that validates the expectations generated by the energy of intrinsic hope. Revealed here today in the experiences we have yet to have, it denotes family and friends, teamwork and harmony. The rune is telling us that the most powerful energy is that of a family. We must also remember that family does not mean we are related by blood, but rather by the spirit. Sowilo represents the seat of the soul, and revelation of the true self. It reminds us here today that we should retain our faith in the outcome of what lies before us, for we may have discovered our life’s purpose by releasing the energy of intrinsic hope within. This energy will draw upon the universe’s intellect that will foster our further enlightenment, revealing that which we hope to pass.
