This is the ideal rune to display our past as it represents the construction of order within our lives arriving at this moment. The moment when the changes of our desires are beginning to take shape and inching us closer to inner-harmony and peace. This represents the portion of our lifetime that we have spent not understanding what it all meant. The time before our life’s purpose had been discovered. Our present influence is that of Sowilo, the rune of the soul. Our present is guided by the power of Sowilo, indicating that we are discovering our life’s purpose. We are initiating the action necessary to move us from the chaos of our past to that of order and understanding. Sowilo reveals that we are becoming whole, even if we don’t feel like it. While some of our existence may still seem to be chaotic and haphazard, the intrinsic infrastructure is being formed to move forward. In much the same way we maintain our physical bodies through sustenance, we must also ensure we are maintaining our emotional health as well. Ihwaz represents the Kundalini, or divine feminine, which encourages us to embrace an emotional intellect, to fulfill the intrinsic necessity of nurture, instead of nature. Educate those around us with velvet gloves instead of the iron fists. 

To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Fehu, the rune of young love. Today Fehu displays an understanding that we have obtained of new beginnings and abundance. The indication with it being in our past is that we may have received the experience to teach us a new path, a new way of being. Fehu brings a recognition of obtaining control, whether within our circumstances, or mental processing, we began the process of gaining a singularity within our foresight as to our own journey through our existence. Our present influence is that of Nauthiz, the rune of action or effort. As we know, the power of magic is everywhere within the realm of understanding, however, it requires action steps to bring it to manifestation. With Nauthiz in our present, this indicates that we will receive the success we desire through our actions. Taking steps toward the objective allows for the kinetic energy created to assist in the draw of the spiritual energy necessary for manifestation of different perspectives, fostering in a new reality in which to experience. To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Wunjo, the rune of harmony. Our future will be filled with opportunities in which we can exercise the energy of harmony. The power within the rune of Wunjo to bring people together to offer a plethora of perspectives is unparalleled in the universe, and allows for this fellowship to bring us intrinsic joy. Now is the time to understand the power of hope, as we can look optimistically toward a future filled with the energy of love and brotherhood. The cautions of Ehwaz today reveal that we should seek to become sure of ourselves and avoid those physical realm suggestions of indecision, nightmares, betrayal, mistrust. By placing firmly into our hearts the lessons of the past, and the harmony of our future, we can avoid these pitfalls and retain our achieved success. Being true to the self allows for the establishing and maintaining our harmony.

Today, as Raidho appears in an upright state, it represents the journey we have undertaken throughout our lives. From birth, we have been afforded experiences with a reality that has taught us lessons in our direction of travel. But a journey is just an observation until we begin to walk, there requires a level of action in which to engage different experiences that will continue our lessons in reality. Our present influence is that of Uruz, the rune of manifestation. Uruz represents the raw primal power that lies beneath our skin. Like the wild bovine, it recognizes this power to effect change within our lifetimes, through consistency and brutal strength. But it also represents the pragmatic knowledge from an ordered growth of lessons provided by the many experiences we have had. Uruz also indicates the arrival of luck in our life, with much of that pointing to a healthy lifetime. To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Kenaz, the rune of illumination. In our future state, Kenaz indicates that we are in a period of time within our physical existence where new information is being received and being merged with our previous experiences. This combination allows for our spiritual transformation as we, more tightly, grasp that which is being given clarity of thought to. Our quest for illumination is being realized here in our future. To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune Dagaz, the rune of enlightenment. In the place of our bedrock in which to build our mindset, Dagaz offers the understanding as to what "enlightenment" means to each of us and that those definitions will not be the same. Dagaz reveals the understanding that we have come, and should retain, our understanding of what the paradoxical truth is for ourselves.

Othala offers us a connection to the ancestors who reside in the spiritual realm, and the energy that they can offer us in our everyday lives. Today Othala beckons us to embrace those lessons of group prosperity and group order that we may experience true mental freedom. Othala’s energy is that of paradise, and utopia, allowing us to form our self-defined destiny that lies in our future. Our present influence is that of Ehwaz, and today if issues us cautions by being presented in an inverted state. Sowilo reveals the paradigm shift that is occurring within our minds. Whether this paradigm be the enforced emotional boundaries, or through processes, we have begun a transition to a mindset of opportunity and growth. By joining our two parts: that of the spiritual, and that of the physical, we can obtain wholeness within the self, thereby releasing a new stream of energy through our consciousness. This may reveal an understanding of our life’s purpose. To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Tiwaz, the rune of the Norse god Tyr. In our future role, Tiwaz indicates that we are perfectly capable to making the right decisions to restore or maintain the righteousness within our choices. In the place of our bedrock, Isa reminds us of our self-image, the bedrock in who we are as a person. It reveals that the transformation that we have undergone is the tip of a very large iceburg, and that we need to ensure that the values we hold tight are retained.

Given that this rune is displayed in our past, it would indicate that our journey to where we are has had many challenges that we have had to remain true to its resolution, and were persevered, we endured those lessons and have arrived at where we are today. Tiwaz speaks about internalizing these lessons that we become that of honor, justice, equality, and faith. Our present influence is that of Sowilo, one of my favorite runes, and certainly when it is in the present. Sowilo reveals the paradigm shift that is occurring within our minds. Whether this paradigm be the enforced emotional boundaries, or through processes, we have begun a transition to a mindset of opportunity and growth. Turning our back on unwanted energies within our aura, and our mind, to feel comfortable walking a path into an enlightened life of hope and happiness. Dagaz here tells us that we should fully embrace this paradigm shift happening in our present and retain it for the foreseeable future, it is that critical to our potential of a successful obtainment of Satori, conceptual realization.
