There has been a sense of superiority over others throughout the history of humans. Originally, I think that this was created by those who were stronger, better hunters, better connected to the spiritual world around them. As one can see, there has always been a sense of pride that has clouded the human mind regarding others.
Family is like the world around us. There is some bad weather, some good weather, and yet the mountains stand next to us, while the sun warms us even during the bad weather. We must be like the lands, and accept the pelting of rain, the shivers of winter, to enjoy the warm of the sun.
What is depression? While it may affect different people, well differently, the idea that the mind refuses to let go of the negative energies surrounding us. Many bouts with depression are brought on my a particular event, such as losing the physical being of a friend or family member. However, the darkness that surrounds us during these times, is a conscious decision we can make. There are ways that we can combat depression without the use of medicines.
