Sowilo in our present reveals that we are now accomplishing a deeper look into ourselves. Throughout the trials and tribulations, we have endured of our past, we have reached the point where are focus is turning more intrinsically now. Being willing and able to work with the cosmic energies will afford us an opportunity to discover our true life’s purpose. It brings an awareness of the journey, and just as importantly, the destination on the horizon. Today Mannaz cautions us about becoming arrogant in the wisdom provided by the spirits as it has been a gift to each of us. While processing the information in a relational way within the mind offers us great potential to embracing new knowledge, we must remember that this information may, or may not, be in alignment with other’s journeys. According to the runes, the revelatino of Uruz in our "bedrock" position indicates that we should remember that our journey requires a lot of tenacity, constancy, strength, and a little dash of luck. It reminds us that although we have the strength and skill to accomplish much, the gods may, or may not, grant us additional favor, therefore we need to be prepared to put our shoulder into the stone to acquire the flour.

Dagaz represents the paradigm shift within our perspective of the experiences we have had in the past. While it is easy to identify perceived failures within our past, the value to our forward trajectory is nil. Learning the lessons of emotional interaction with the self, and with others, is a very powerful part of our physical existence and needs to be embraced. Creating a positive memory from the past experiences is the best way to move ourself forward in our evolution. Our present influence reveals Odinn’s Rune. Odinn’s Rune requires additional communication through prayer or channeling the god’s desires for us to know. Today Odinn has enlightened me to understanding that I alone, control the way in which I look at the reality unfolding around me. By determining my desired mindset, I can direct the generated energy of the emotional process within me to alter the outcome to my will. Odinn reminds me that by remembering my intrinsic values (or virtues) I can define the interpretation my mind makes of the experiences I have. To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Perthro. In today’s reading Perthro indicates a prophecy is being played out here in our physical existence. The reminder we are given about the prophecy here is that there is nothing we can do to alter the completion of the prophecy, for even if we do something out-of-character, the prophecies have already foretold of this state. It is better for us to simply understand fully the path that the prophecy sets, and move in that direction, for like many other things in our lives, prophecies are milestones along our journey through existence. It recognizes the cosmic cyclic law of rhythm. We should remember there we alone control the energies within our mind, which then drives the recognition of emotional states. Ihwaz reveals the protection and endurance provided by the inclusion of an understanding of the spiritual energy around us. As Ihwaz also highlights this "movement toward enlightenment", each step we take in our physical life assists us in absorbing spiritual energy, ultimately achieving this enlightenment.

Although the sensory input of audio is a very powerful one, we must remember that it could also have encouraged our imagination, so having more than one sensory input to validate an experience is better than not. Being sure that we are truly listening and not just waiting for the other to finish, so we may speak is truly an art. We are reminded that listening with our whole being is a great way to build intellect and wisdom within the mind. Our present influence is that of Isa, the rune of ice. Isa within our present influence reminds us of our self-identity. The rune offers us an understanding of the importance of establishing our self-worth through intrinsic reflection and management. Our intrinsic values have been initially placed by others within our existence that we have given a level of authority to. This does not mean that we are forever bound to their values, for if we discover a new path in our lives, we are not required to maintain the current views on the new path. Wunjo brings a gift from our future self, an understanding that the energy of hope can move us from where we are today to where we want to be. By engaging our friends around us, we are more than capable of achieving joy and harmony within our existence. Laughing is indeed the best medicine, and including others in that laughter spreads the energy of hope. Which, when returned to you, has been multiplied exponentially. To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune, Hagalaz, the rune of chaos. Not as much chaos itself, as it is the recognition of chaos as a state. By preparing ourselves to establish order within the chaos of our future, we are preparing ourself ahead of time. This preparation will go a long way in avoiding certain experiences within our life to ensure that mental control is maintained. The ability to recognize a potentiality of chaos entering into our energy field opens the reality of controlling this chaos and minimizing the negative effect associated with the natural chaos of life.

Its revelation here is that although we may have spent much time in contemplation regarding the lessons that we should have received from these past engagements, these lessons will not be fully revealed to us until we are ready to use the information provided. We must seek patience. Our incurred wisdom will appear in our decisions when the tests arrive for them. Our present influence is that of Tiwaz, the rune of honor and truth, although today it brings us cautions. By receiving these cautions in our present, this would indicate that we are currently experiencing some level of fear. These cautions indicate that we fear defeat, imbalance, injustice, or mental paralysis due to this sense of fear within us. Our present moment gives us an opportunity to understand this, and make a conscious decision to redirect ourselves to a different path, one of joy, comfort, and harmony. This choice is ours. Ehwaz reveals our worries about lost relationships, or enemies, yet there may be no evidence to support this energy passage. Others may be reflecting this energy upon you, as they may be struggling with the energy of self-worth. You must embrace the trust in yourself that the decisions you need to make will have the answers revealed to you at the proper time. Be patient, for the universe will not inflict upon us a need for something we have yet to learn. To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune, Kenaz, one of the runes of humility. Many times, our imagination may over-inflate our ego for the victories accomplished in our everyday living, however, we must remember that it is just as simplistic to remove those things as it was to gain them. Exercise humility and graciousness for those lessons that the universe has given us, for they truly are a gift. Stay true to the intrinsic values you carry, for they represent not only you, but your ancestors as well.
